Everflo Oxygen Concentrator

While at FITCH, I had the opportunity to
work on site for several weeks with
Respironics' engineering staff and design
director to do the industrial design on their
revolutionary new oxygen concentrator.

Besides being engineered to be the
lightest and quietest oxygen concentrator
available in the US, it contains a host of
other features as well. For instance, the
controls the user interacts with are all on
an upward slanting surface that makes
them easier to read and reduces the need
to bend down low to access them. The
slanted surface also prevent the user from
using the top to store items making a
damaging spill into the unit much less
likely. The handle is extra wide as well,
enabling easy two handed pick up when
necessary. Finally, the integrated
humidifier bottle strap is located
conveniently on the back, but is out of
sight when it's not needed.
